It’s time again for another new year. And what an eventful year this has been: a year of ups and downs aplenty, 2025. Thank you all for being with us and reading our blog. Although we’ve posted very few things this year, we hope to revive this blog a bit in 2026. And I hope to get back into the habit of writing. Cheers to everyone and good luck for the new year!
In that spirit, here’s a little poem I wrote for this time of year.
Whispers of cheers
Slivers of sweetness
Chanting ritual laughter
Lightning in a glass bottleThese small, sparkling things
are how the new year ringsClinking of full glasses
off-key singing at midnight
A charge in the air
A murmured, hopeful prayerThese set the ambiance
at the languid year’s lovely end– Daima Hussain
