The knight watched them leave with a solemn countenance. He had not expected what he had heard, that was practically slavery! For some reason the knight decided to follow the men, indignation burning in his chest.

He followed the men throughout the day, staying back far enough that he was not seen or heard by the other humans. He had long since learned the art of tracking and hunting, and these skills helped him stay hidden. He watched as they travelled lazily and with many complaints. The only one who stayed quiet was the Sorcerer. Even with their slow progress, by nightfall they were indeed within sight of the giant’s house. The Knight stood hidden and watched as the men discussed what to do next. The two soldiers were in favour of camping outside till morning, but the Sorcerer suggested going up to the giant’s house and asking for shelter. In the end the more cautious soldier’s won out and the three decided to outside till morning, since they did not want to confront a giant in the middle of the night.

As soon as their camp was set up the knight sneaked past them and up to the giant’s home. The door was closed but there was enough space for him to squeeze through the gap under the door. Now as the knight looked around and tried to think of what to do next, he came to the sudden realization that he didn’t know what he was doing here in the first place! All through the journey back to the house he had been focused on not being discovered and had not actually stopped to think his actions through. Now though, standing in the giant’s home he thought with apprehension that he had no idea what to do next. So as he stood and tried to figure out what to do,or even if he should do anything at all, he heard the stood of booming footfalls, and they were headed his way…
