Fenugreek (Methi)
Fenugreek (methi) is a plant with refreshing smell. It is found in North Africa, Mediterranean region and South Asia. It has medicinal attributes and is also used in different foods. One is saagh (see our recipe). Its taste is a little bitter.
Fenugreek has many essential nutrients such as:
- yamogenin,
- trigonelline,
- chlorine,
- calcium,
- copper,
- potassium,
- manganese,
- iron,
- zinc,
- and magnesium and phytochemical components[1].
Its benefits for controlling the glucose level in the human body have been tested by many scientists and many are still doing their researches[2].
I am not joking. The regular use of fenugreek can not only controls blood sugar level in a diabetic. But it can also cure it in the longer run. I am a diabetic myself and do not take any allopathic medicine. Instead I take Fenugreek with every meal and my blood sugar level is maintained to the prescribed numbers.
Method of Use
Take fenugreek seeds and grind them into powder (It is easily available from the shops). Eat ½ teaspoon after every meal with water.
If your blood sugar level is high avoid taking sweet in food, tea and beverages.
Try and share your experience.
Share it widely so that diabetics are able to reach the post.

Hi
Thank you for the amazing articles. You mention that fenugreek cured your diabetes in the long run. May I know how long? Or you need to take it for lifetime.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for your comment, however, we meant that by taking fenugreek you can maintain your blood sugar levels. but you still have to avoid sugar.
Daima Hussain
Hi, thanks for saying so,
Fenugreek, unfortunately, does not cure diabetes, however if you take it consistently it keeps your blood sugar stable.
