Eid ul Adha, one of the holiest occasions in the Islamic calendar, will be celebrated on August 11-12, 2019, in India.
The festival of Eid-ul-Adha, also known as Bakra Eid, is celebrated by millions of Muslims around the world. On this day, people gather to celebrate the day with feasts, prayers, exquisite clothing and parades. Many people also take part in the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
Eid al-Adha is an Islamic festival to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim (also known as Abraham) to follow Allah’s (God’s) command to sacrifice his son. Muslims around the world observe this event.
