Why Smoothie bowl?
This recipe is a reflection of my last few days, I have been quite sick and unable to keep down much of anything. This smoothie bowl recipe came to the rescue. It is not only light and refreshing, but also very easy on the stomach.
It’s too simple not to share; requiring only an equal amount of fruit and yogurt. You can fit many types of fruit in this recipe: from bananas, to strawberries, or apples or mango, any fruit that makes a good milkshake fits. The reason I listed mango here is because that’s what I had at hand at the time. The ratio for this recipe is 1:1.
Ingredients for Smoothie bowl
- Yogurt 100 grams
- Mango (or fruit of your choice) 100 grams
Recipe for Smoothie bowl
- Peel, cut and prep fruit into small bites.
- Put both fruit and yogurt in the bowl of a food processor or blender and just mix for 30 secs, don’t do more than that otherwise you may end up extracting butter from the yogurt.
- Serve fresh and drink or eat with a spoon.
- Optional: you can reserve some fruit and top the smoothie with it before service.
