Top 3 Summer Beauty Tips

I know that my skin behaves very differently in summer and winter, and that my summertime skin is oily, sweaty, prone to acne and with open pores. These are some Summer Beauty Tip that I have used to great effect. The remedies I list here address each and every one of theses issues, so if you’re like me and have these skin problems, try out these recommendations.

Summer Beauty Tip # 1: Banana Facial Scrub

This Banana Facial Scrub cleanses out your pores, removes black heads and excess oil. It regulates skin pH and leaves your skin smooth, shining and fresh.

How to Make?

This Banana Facial Scrub is very easy to make.

1 tbsp. Banana (Mashed)

½ tsp. Honey

½ tbsp. Coarse Ground Rice Flour

Directions

Mix the three ingredients in small bowl with a wire whisk until well combined.

How to Use?

Apply the scrub onto your face and rub in gentle circular motions for at least 2 minutes and then wait five minutes before washing it off with warm water. Then splash cold water afterward and pat your face dry with a paper towel. While the skin is still slightly damp, use your favorite moisturizer to lock in the moisture. Summer Beauty Tip #2: Rejuvenating and Firming Face Mask

This mask is is aimed to rejuvenate skin, moisturize and make it healthy. It tightens and firms the facial skin and reduces age lines and wrinkles. It takes away puffiness and redness of the skin.  

How to Make?

This Rejuvenating and Firming Face Mask is simple to make.

1 tbsp. Honey

1 Egg Yolk

Directions

  1. Beat the egg yolk and honey together until fully combined.

How to Use?

Apply a generous layer of Rejuvenating and Firming Face Mask and wait for 20 mins. Then clean with warm water, following with cold water to close the pores. Use your favourite moisturizer on your skin while it is still damp, I explain more about this technique in my Rose Water Hydrating Mist Post.

Summer Beauty Tip # 3: Aloe Vera Mask for Oily Skin

This Aloe Vera Mask for Oily Skin not only clears the skin of excess oils and cleans the pores, it also moisturizes and gently heals. As you may know, oily skin is often times as much in need of moisturizing as dry skin, however, introducing more oils is not the way to go if you want to avoid looking greasy, the best way is to regularly use a water based moisturizer or a mask. How to Mix?

Ingredients

1 tsp. Honey

¼ tsp. Tumeric

1 tsp. Yogurt

1 tsp. Lemon Juice

Method

  1. In a small bowl mix together the honey and aloe vera gel.
  2. Mix the turmeric into the yogurt then add lemon juice to this mix.
  3. Combine the two mixes in a new bowl.

How to Use?

Remove any makeup and wash skin with warm water to open pores. Then gently apply a generous layer of the mask to your skin. Leave for about 20 minutes and wash off with warm water, follow this with a splash of cold water to close the pores. Pat dry gently and apply your favorite moisturizer.
