My Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2019 Part 2

#5 Dark Phoenix

Release date: June 7

Synopsis: Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner gets her big shot as a leading lady with this Jean Grey-centered addition to the X-Men franchise, which also stars fellow mutant alumni James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Jennifer Lawrence.

My Thoughts: I really need a new X-men fix, and even though I realize that this isn’t likely to be the best X-men movie ever, I wanna like it, so I am willing to give it a shot.

#4 Spider-Man: Far From Home

Release date: 5 July 2019

Synopsis: Peter Parker goes on a school trip to Europe with his friends. While abroad, he is recruited by Nick Fury to team up with Mysterio to battle the Elementals.

My Thoughts: This is one of the movies I am quite sure that I WILL enjoy, simply for the reason that I find Tom Holland’s Spiderman so likeable. Can you believe that I didn’t watch Homecoming until June 2018? I was actually unwilling to give a new Spiderman a chance after the spectacular disappointment that was The Amazing Spider-Man. It was part loyalty to the original Spiderman (one of my childhood loves) and part apprehension, but the positive reviews finally got me to watch it. And while this Spiderman is more of sweetie, than a dashing hero, I think I actually prefer it this way.

# 3 Men in Black: International

Release date: 14 June 2019

Synopsis: The Men in Black have always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe. In this new adventure, they tackle their biggest threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization.

My Thoughts: I wanted something lighthearted, and this caught my eye, it might be good, it might be great or it might tank spectacularly; I don’t know, we’ll see.

#2 Joker

Release date: 4 October 2019

Synopsis: A failed stand-up comedian is driven insane and becomes a psychopathic murderer.

My Thoughts: This Might be good? I dunno guys, I am just quite looking forward to a Joker origin story even though it’ll probably be creepy as all get out.

#1 Avengers: Endgame

Release date: April 26, 2019

Synopsis: Prepare yourself for the epic finale to the battle between Marvel’s biggest superheroes and their greatest foe, Thanos—an anticipated close to the MCU’s current plot line that will certainly bring about the departure of many of the series’ biggest stars.

My Thoughts: Let’s be honest, who isn’t looking forward to this one?  I, for one, am practically frothing at the mouth in anticipation, Infinity War was so awesome. Let’s hope the trend continues.
