Flaxseed (linseed) for Joint Pains

Linseeds (Flaxseed) are a useful home remedy for joint pains. Linseed (flaxseed) has been used for this purpose for more than 6000 years. Linseed (Flaxseed) is a super food in Ayurveda and alternative medicine. Linseed (Flaxseed) has powerful dosage of anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids. These fatty acids are different from the type of fatty acids provided by fish. Linseed (flaxseed) also contains antioxidant substances called lignans.

People of the subcontinent use linseed in many different ways. Village people used linseed (flaxseed) to make round, sweet ball. They ground linseed and mixed it with dry fruit like almonds, raisins and pecans etcetera. They used to eat these as breakfast.

You can eat linseed by grinding them into a powder and eating a teaspoonful twice a day with plain water. There are many other methods. The oil I also used in many local and Ayurveda medicines.

Linseed (flaxseed) has many other benefits but here I will tell you a simple remedy for the joint pains.

How To Use  for Joint Pains

Take 250 grams of linseed (flaxseed) and grind them to powder. Now you have to take it with water two times a day. The dosage is 1 teaspoon. The people with joint pain will feel immediate relief. You should consume the remedy for at least 90 days .

A Word of Caution

As is true for everything; that excess of anything is bad. You should take care while using Linseed (flaxseed). Do not exceed the prescribed dosage and do not take it for a long time. If someone wants to continue using it then they need to take at least 10 days break after using for 90 days.

Linseed (flaxseed) is easily available from herbal medicine shops. It is not costly so even the poor can benefit from it.
